A student was killed and two others were seriously injured when part of a school fence collapsed on a number of students in Cairo’s El-Marg district on Thursday, according to the district head.
The incident took place at the Manaret El-Sharq private school.
Investigators from the prosecution and civil defence rescue teams arrived swiftly to the scene, and the injured students were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment.
Officials from the Cairo Educational Directorate have ordered an investigation into the incident.
