Establishing the center coincides with the first anniversary of the Syrian Revolution

A group of Syrian writers and thinkers have established the first research centre for the Syrian revolution called the Republic, coinciding with the first anniversary of the Syrian revolution.

The centre, which has been launched online, will include studies and research projects by pro-Syrian revolution writers to help spark a debate on the future of a post Al-Assad state.

The website describes the founding group, which includes Syrian writer and thinker Yassin Haj Saleh, as a non-partisan group that will work as a non-profit organisation, aiming to produce and present research and treatises to help establish the new Syrian state. The group will also debate the profound vision of a diverse, pluralistic Syrian state.
