Egypt reported 613 new coronavirus cases on Monday bringing the total infection tally officially to 273,795 since the outbreak began in February 2021.
The health ministry also reported 31 new deaths, bringing the total number of deaths from the virus to 201,739.
The statement said that 701 patients have been discharged after recovering from the virus, bringing the total number of recoveries to 15,654.
