The 27-year-old snatched an early lead for Basaksehir, only 25 minutes from the start, but Fatih Karagumruk managed to make a comeback and score two goals before the break.
Trezeguet quickly booked a regular place in Basaksehir’s starting lineup after his superb performance in his first showing last week as he scored two goals in his team’s 2-0 victory over C. Rizespor.
The Egypt and Aston Villa midfielder was loaned to Turkish Super Lig side Basaksehir last January after his superb performance with the Pharaohs in the AFCON 2021.
The Egyptian star joined Aston Villa in the summer of 2019. He scored seven goals and provided two assists in his first season to help the club retain their Premier League status and reach the League Cup final.
Trezeguet was part of Egypt's squad for the African Cup of Nations in Cameroon, where they lost to Senegal on penalties in the final following a 0-0 draw.
He came off the bench to score a precious winner in extra time as Egypt came from behind to beat Morocco 2-1 in the tournament's quarter-final.
