Algeria's oil-dependent trade surplus reached 16.45 billion dollars in 2010, according to figures released on Monday.
Exports totalled 56.66 billion dollars (41.5 billion euros), 25.38 percent up on 2009, largely due to a similar percentage increase in world oil prices, while imports rose 2.34 percent to 40.21 billion (29.48 billion euros).
Oil products were responsible for 97.14 percent of all exports, with the United States the main customer, followed by Italy, Spain, France and the Netherlands.
France remains the main supplier of goods to Algeria, tailed by China.
