"Our defense is reassuring, we play well and that's because of the collective work of our players. This provides the team solidity and confidence," the Brazilian coach told a pre-match news conference on Friday.
The young Pharaohs are on top of the group with four points after two games, having beaten Mali 1-0 and drawn with Niger 0-0.
A win against bottom side Gabon will secure their passage to the semifinals and the top spot.
"Our aim is to win the game and remain on top of the group," Micale said. "Gabon are a good team and they lost because of very small details. They deserved to get better results. We have prepared well for them and must be focused because they have nothing to lose, which makes them dangerous."
Egypt are seeking to defend their title, which they won in 2019, and qualify for the 2024 Olympic Games. The top three teams in the tournament will qualify automatically, while the fourth-placed team will play a playoff game against an Asian team.
"It's normal that we play under pressure. We have a big responsibility and must continue working and progressing. Each game presents a challenge but our goal is to please our supporters and make them proud," Micale concluded.
