“It has been extremely rewarding to coach this group of players and be involved in the evolution of Egyptian football,” Vitoria wrote on his Instagram account.
The Portuguese coach has been on a four-year contract with the Egyptian Football Association (EFA) to lead the Pharaoh's senior team since July 2022.
“This country has become a second home to me, and being the National Coach fills me with pride!” he added.
Since taking the helm, the 53-year-old coach has led Egypt in seven games, winning all of them and helping the team to score 17 goals while conceding only two.
Under his guidance, the Pharaohs topped Group D in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers with 12 points from five games, securing a place in the 2023 cup that will be played in Cote D'Ivoire.
“I was warmly welcomed by the players and the passionate 120 million Egyptians,” Vitoria said.
“Thank you to all the players, coaching staff, officials, fans, and everyone who is part of this journey.”
Vitoria, who started his coaching career in the early 2000s, led Benfica to back-to-back Portuguese League titles in 2016 and 2017.
He also steered Saudi Arabia's Al-Nassr to the Saudi league crown in 2019.
