The applications will be submitted to the universities of choice online through their websites, the Spokesperson for the Ministry Adel Abdel-Ghaffar confirmed.
Those who have obtained their Thanaweya Amma certificate in the years 2022/2023 and 2021/2022 are eligible to apply.
According to the statement, students will be admitted without aptitude tests unless the designated university or faculty requires them to take international tests or demonstrate specific skills before acceptance.
The ministry also set the minimum grade requirements as follows:
To study at private universities, new national universities, Nile University, New Mansoura University, The Egyptian E-Learning University, and the French University in Cairo, an applicant must have scored 80 percent for Medicine, 78 percent for Dentistry, 76 percent for Physiotherapy, 72 percent for Pharmacy and Veterinary medicine, 68 percent for Engineering, and 62 percent for Accounting.
To study at Galala University and Alamein International University, an applicant must have scored 77 percent for Medicine, 76 percent for Dentistry, 74 percent for Physiotherapy, 71 percent for Pharmacy, 66 percent for Engineering, and 61 percent for Accounting.
As for Sinai University, King Salman International University, East Port Said National University, and New Ismailia National University, an applicant must have scored 75 percent for Medicine, 74 percent for Dentistry, 73 percent for Physiotherapy, 70 percent for Pharmacy, 66 percent for Veterinary medicine, 65 percent for Engineering, and 60 percent for Accounting.
Finally, applicants majoring in Biotechnology, Health Sciences Technology, Applied Arts, Mass Communication, Languages and Translation, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Tourism, Nursing, Cinema Studies, and Pedagogy must obtain 55 percent.
Applicants from STEM schools can be accepted after calculating equivalencies for their grades.
Those who hold certificates from institutions abroad are subject to minimum requirements set by the universities before they get accepted.
