The Cairo giants have yet to claim a league win, having settled for a 2-2 draw with Pyramids FC in their league opener, followed by another 1-1 draw against Arab Contractors.
However, Zamalek will draw confidence from their recent qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup group stage, achieved through an impressive second-half comeback against Arta Solar of Djibouti in the round of 32 on Saturday.
NBE Club have recently suffered defeats at the hands of the White Knights in four out of their six previous league confrontations.
Zamalek will be without the services of forward Youssef "Obama" Ibrahim, who sustained a muscular injury after coming on as a second-half substitute in the win against Arta Solar.
Meanwhile, NBE Club are also in search of their first league win, having suffered defeats to Talae El-Geish and Pyramids FC in their previous matches.
Zamalek currently face a managerial crisis, with the club being led by an interim committee following the resignation of the elected board due to ongoing financial difficulties.
Furthermore, the club are under a transfer ban, preventing them from registering new players during the summer transfer window due to overdue financial obligations to former players.
