Salah's remarks come in the wake of the Israeli attacks on Gaza and the total siege imposed recently on the strip, depriving more than 2 million Palestinian people of food, water, and fuel.
The Israeli army began attacking Gaza on 7 October, killing around 4,000 people and injuring more than 11,000, according to The Palestinian Ministry of Health figures.
"It is not always easy to speak in times like this,” Salah said in a video posted on his X account on Wednesday.
“There has been too much violence and heartbreaking brutality. The escalations in the recent weeks is terrible to witness. The massacres need to stop. ”
“What is clear now is that humanitarian aid must be allowed to Gaza immediately. The people there are in terrible conditions.
"The scenes at the hospital last night were horrifying. The people of Gaza need food, water and medical supplies urgently.
“I'm calling on the world leaders to prevent the further slaughter of innocent souls. Humanity must prevail."
The 31-year-old has been heavily criticised for not publicly supporting Palestine despite his donation earlier this week to the Egyptian Red Crescent to provide aid to the people of Palestine in Gaza.
