The convoy included over 1,571 tons of food; approximately 84 tons of medicines, baby formula, and medical supplies; 10 tons of tents; more than 22 tons of clothing and blankets; and over 120 tons of water.
Various member organizations in the alliance participated in preparing the convoy to support Palestinians in Gaza who are facing the dire humanitarian situation and famine conditions triggered by the Israeli genocidal military campaign and blockade on the strip.
The first convoy organized by the NACDW for Gaza was in early October 2023.
The seventh convoy was dispatched last week and carried 2,900 tons of aid.
The NACDW was launched in Egypt in March 2022 and comprises more than 30 associations, civil society organizations, and service and developmental entities.
Nearly 5,000 trucks loaded with aid crossed into Gaza from Egypt in April, according to Egyptian media reports.
