The 23-year-old midfielder joined Zamalek from Talae El-Gaish in January on a six-month loan deal with the possibility of a permanent transfer.

According to Zamalek official Ahmed Soliman, the new contract will keep Shehata at the club until the summer of 2029.

Shehata produced a string of impressive performances for Zamalek, helping them win the CAF Confederation Cup title.

He has demonstrated his versatility, being capable of playing in various positions in midfield as well as on the right flank.

Shehata is a regular member of the Egypt U-23 team, which is currently preparing for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
