Berekum Chelsea's Ghanaian striker Emmanuel Clottey has agreed terms with Esperance, the Tunisian giants revealed in a statement on their official website on Tuesday.
"The Ghanaian is due to undergo medical tests on Wednesday and will then sign a three-year contract for $500,000 per year," said the statement.
The 25-year-old attacker has performed well for his Ghanaian club in the CAF Champions League this season, scoring 12 goals to emerge as the tournament's leading marksman, almost equalling Stephen Worgu’s 13-goal haul in 2007.
Clottey, who was reportedly linked with a move to Egypt's Ahly and UAE's Al-Wasl, put in some heroic performances during five games in the Champions League group stage.
He scored a hat trick in the Group B opener against Zamalek, helping his team to a difficult 3-2 win, before hitting a brace against TP Mazembe. He failed to score in the last two draws against Ahly and Zamalek respectively.
