Abdelatty arrived in Washington on Friday where he had multiple meetings.
According to a statement by the foreign ministry, he will hold intensive talks with foreign ministers and heads of participating delegations at the UN and participate in side events and high-level activities to discuss a host of regional and international issues.
The UNGA79th session will feature several high-level events focused on global health challenges, including the main Summit of the Future (22-23 September), the General Debate (24-28 September), the High-level Meeting on Sea-Level Rise (25 September), and the High-level Meeting: International Day for the Total Elimination of Nuclear Weapons.
Abdelatty is scheduled to deliver Egypt's statement before the UNGA and participate in the Future Summit.
