President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi during his speech at the graduation ceremony of the Egyptian Military Academy on Thursday at the New Adminsitrative Capital.
This came during President El-Sisi's speech at the graduation of the class of 2024 at the Egyptian Military Academy, attended by the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, who is currently on an official visit to Egypt.
“Escalation, violence, and destruction push the region towards the brink, increasing risks both regionally and internationally, which serves the interests of no nation that seeks security, peace, and development,” El-Sisi said in his speech.
He reiterated Egypt’s steadfast position, supported by international consensus, on the necessity of establishing an independent Palestinian state as the only path to achieving peace, security, and stability for all.
“This regional escalation is taking place amid an atmosphere of global anticipation, reminding us of what the Egyptians achieved — through unity and perseverance — to build our armed forces and safeguard the safety of this beloved nation, dispelling any illusions held by any party,” he said.
The Egyptian president noted that this year’s celebration of the glorious 6 October victory comes at a particularly crucial moment in the history of the region, amid the escalating and bloody events that destroy its peoples’ resources and threaten the security and stability of its countries.
President El-Sisi expressed deep appreciation for the Egyptian Armed Forces, praising their unwavering commitment to protecting the nation and honouring the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and their families.
He also paid tribute to the late President Anwar El-Sadat, affirming that the values he fought for will continue to guide Egypt.
El-Sisi underscored the importance of national unity and resilience in overcoming challenges, assuring that Egypt's progress will persist, safeguarded by the will of its people and divine support.
