The football governing body on the continent also announced the dates for various commitments at different levels, including clubs, youth, and women.
The next edition of the Africa Cup of Nations is set to start in Morocco in December 2025, after CAF decided to reschedule the competition to make room to the newly introduced FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled for June 2025 with the participation of 32 clubs.
Egypt secured their spot in the continental competition, while Cairo giants Ahly are one of four representatives of the continent in the clubs’ competition, alongside Esperance de Tunis, Wydad de Casablanca, and South African side Sundowns.
The executive bureau of CAF also announced the dates for the finals of the interclub competitions.
The first leg of the Champions League final will take place on May 24, while the second leg will be played one week later.
In the Confederation Cup final, the first leg will be held on May 17, with the second leg taking place on May 25.
Egyptian sides Ahly and Zamalek are the defending champions of both competitions, respectively.
CAF also revealed that Morocco will host the U-17 African Championship from 30 March to 19 April, while the U-20 event, set to be held in Cote d'Ivoire, will take place from 26 April to 18 May.
Finally, CAF announced that next year’s Women Champions League will start on 8 November, with the final scheduled for the 23rd of the same month.
