In a statement on Saturday, the foreign ministry urged full implementation of the deal and follow-through to ensure it leads to lasting stability in the Great Lakes region.
Egypt also voiced support for resolving African conflicts through political and diplomatic means, stating that it was prepared to contribute to efforts supporting the deal.
The agreement, signed in Washington, D.C., aims to end years of deadly fighting in eastern Congo and also opens the door for U.S. access to critical minerals in the region.
