The friendlies are part of preparations for the 2025 Arab Cup, to be held in Qatar from 1 to 18 December.

Toulan has scheduled a training camp from 1 to 9 September to prepare the squad. He also confirmed that the coaching staff is in contact with several Arab and African football federations to arrange further warm-up matches during the October and November international windows.

The technical team plans to monitor all Egyptian Premier League fixtures closely once the new season begins in 10 days, to finalize player selections. The Arab Cup squad will be announced after the senior national team confirms its roster.

Egypt has been drawn into Group C alongside Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, and the winner of the Mauritania vs. Kuwait qualifier.

The Local Organizing Committee has confirmed that prize money for the 2025 Arab Cup will exceed $36.5 million—a record figure aimed at boosting the tournament’s profile and positioning it among the sport’s premier international competitions.
