The vote marks the beginning of the two-day voting period for Egyptians abroad, taking place on August 1 and 2.
According to the timetable set by Egypt's National Elections Authority (NEA), domestic voting will occur on Sunday and Monday (4-5 August).
Official results of the first round will be announced on 12 August. If necessary, a runoff will be held both inside and outside Egypt.
Following his vote, Minister Abdelatty emphasised that participation in constitutional entitlements is a national duty. He underscored Egypt's commitment to enhancing the involvement of Egyptians abroad in the electoral process.
In addition, the Egyptian FM described expatriates as an integral part of the national fabric and partners in shaping the country's future.
He praised the coordination between the National Election Authority (NEA) and Egypt's diplomatic and consular missions, commending efforts to ensure a smooth and orderly voting process abroad.
Moreover, Abdelatty confirmed that Egyptian missions were ready to welcome voters throughout the two days and provide necessary support to facilitate the elections.
He also urged Egyptian citizens abroad to exercise their constitutional right and choose the candidates they wish to represent them.
