The conference, titled "Connected," was attended by 250 young people from the Coptic Orthodox Church's dioceses in 44 countries across six continents, along with the conference staff.

“Back to the Roots” is the permanent motto for LOGOS youth conferences around the world.

This year, the theme emphasizes that the Coptic Orthodox Church remains alive through the connection between its fathers and children and the transmission of true faith from generation to generation.

The conference, which started on 26 July, coincides with the church’s commemoration of the 1,700th anniversary of the First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, which was held in 325 AD. This council was a pivotal event in Christian history, addressing theological disputes and shaping the development of Christian doctrine.

During the closing ceremony, the pope presented commemorative certificates to the youth participating in the conference amid a joyful atmosphere over the rich experiences they lived through.

He also expressed his immense pleasure at the conference, encouraging the youth to benefit from the precious values they gained through it.

His Holiness Pope Tawadros thanked everyone who supported the conference, whether intellectually, through service, financially, or with arrangements.

Moreover, he urged the youth to share their experiences at the conference with everyone at home, in their churches, and within their close circles upon returning to their countries.

Several patriarchs, bishops, priests, and public figures also attended the closing ceremony, which included a documentary film about the activities of the fifth conference.
