Gad becomes Pyramids FC third signing after Brazilian winger Ewerton Paixao da Silva from who joined the team from Czech club Banik Ostrava and ZED FC forward Mostafa Ziko.

The 26-year-old joined Masry from Enppi in the summer of 2022, producing many fine displays between the sticks with the Port Saidi club.

He made 87 appearances with Masry, including nine in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Last season, Gad featured in 30 league games, keeping 18 clean sheets while conceding 25 goals.

Pyramids FC face a packed schedule this season, including domestic and continental competitions, as well as representing Africa at the FIFA Intercontinental Cup.

They are set to face New Zealand’s Auckland City on 14 December at Air Defense Stadium.

The team will kick off their Egyptian Premier League campaign against newly promoted side Wadi Degla on Friday.
