The event will be inaugurated by Culture Minister, Ahmed Fouad Henno, on Tuesday at 7 pm, at the Palace of Arts, located within the Cairo Opera House grounds in Zamalek.
Organised by the Visual Arts Sector in collaboration with the Faculty of Art Education and the AMSEA Association (Art Education Through Art – Africa and the Middle East), the Biennale serves as an important creative platform for talented children from around the world.
In its third edition, the Biennale carries the theme Climate Change, reflecting the urgency of the global issue.
Approximately 300 works by children from 17 countries - Egypt, Palestine, Lebanon, Qatar, Syria, Romania, Poland, Oman, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Yemen, India, the Philippines, Iraq, Sudan, Jordan, and Ukraine - span various media, including painting, photography, sculpture, and ceramics.
The works present children's perspectives on environmental issues and their role in shaping a sustainable future.
The Biennale launched in 2019 with the theme My Favourite Place. It featured works by children from 19 countries.
The second edition took place in 2022 under the theme A Portrait of My Country. It saw children participating from over 20 countries.
The opening of the Biennale's third edition will be attended by artists, critics, visual arts enthusiasts, and representatives from participating countries.
