The study, which analysed millions of online discussions across Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE, provides valuable insights into regional consumer sentiment, trust, and purchasing behaviour.

According to the report, Egypt ranks second, just behind Saudi Arabia, which recorded 749 million online activities, and ahead of the UAE, which recorded 367 million online discussions.

While all three countries show rapid growth, the report highlights distinct trends within Egypt's market. Price is the primary driver for a significant majority of Egyptian consumers.

A striking 74.3 percent of consumer mentions are related to value, while other factors like shipping (15.4 percent) and customer service (9.3 percent) receive notably less attention.

Trust remains a significant challenge, with the report indicating a low 59 percent satisfaction rate with e-commerce, particularly focused on returns, exchanges, and product quality.

Saudi Arabia, on the other hand, also faces a significant sentiment gap, with a 66 percent satisfaction rate, as consumers frequently express dissatisfaction with value perception and shipping delays.

The UAE sets the regional benchmark for customer satisfaction with 83 percent. The UAE's strong digital infrastructure and innovative services have resulted in high consumer satisfaction across all touchpoints, from product quality to returns, according to the report.

In terms of product dominance, electronics lead the market, accounting for 33.5 percent of transactions, followed by digital products (16.6 percent), apparel (15.8 percent), health and beauty (11.5 percent), home and furniture (8.4 percent), books (8.3 percent), and jewellery and accessories (5.8 percent).

Still, 90 percent of Egyptian consumers prefer cash on delivery (COD), while only 10 percent opt for online payment methods, the report showed.
