The Pharaohs, who lead African qualifying Group A with 16 points from six matches, were trained at Al Salam Stadium in Cairo under the guidance of head coach Hossam Hassan.
They are set to host Ethiopia on Friday at Cairo International Stadium in the seventh round of qualifiers, a game that could strengthen their hold on the top spot.
Twenty-three players participated in the session, which included warm-ups, technical drills, and a practice match, according to the EFA's statement on social media.
Among them were Ahly goalkeeper Mohamed El-Shenawy, midfielder Ahmed Sayed Zizo, and striker Mostafa Mohamed, who plays for the French side Nantes.
Salah, Liverpool’s captain and Egypt’s talisman, and Manchester City's Marmoush are expected to link up with the team in the coming days. Both were named in Hassan’s squad for the international window, which also includes a qualifier against Burkina Faso.
Egypt have won five and drawn one of their qualifiers, with a goal difference of +12.
Ethiopia sit fourth in the six-team group with six points, making Friday’s clash pivotal for both sides.
