The video shows one captive in a car being driven through a neighbourhood with destroyed buildings, calling on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to carry out a planned military assault to occupy Gaza City.
Israeli media identified him as Guy Gilboa Dalal, who was attending the Nova music festival in southern Israel on 7 October 2023.
In the video released on Friday, he says in Hebrew that he is in Gaza City and that the footage was filmed on 28 August 2025.

Israeli occupation army spokesman said on Thursday that the start of the campaign would not be announced to "maintain the element of surprise."
The Israeli army assault to take over Gaza City has been widely condemned by regional and international powers.

Death by starvation
Meanwhile, the health authorities in Gaza said on Friday three more Palestinians died from starvation and acute malnutrition due to the Israeli blockade on the strip.
This brings up the number of Palestinians who died of starvation since the start of the Israeli war and blockade in October 2023 to nearly 380, including more than 130 children.
