According to the Egyptian Foreign Ministry, Abdelatty's meetings took place on the sidelines of the ministerial preparatory meeting for the extraordinary joint Arab, Islamic summit in the Qatari capital Doha on Monday.
Turkish FM
Abdelatty and his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, stressed the need for Israel to halt its war on Gaza immediately. They also rejected Israel's policies of blockade, starvation, and displacement.
Furthermore, the two sides emphasised the importance of ensuring the people of Gaza have full access to humanitarian aid. They also affirmed their support for the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish their independent state.
Kuwaiti FM
Abdelatty and his Kuwaiti counterpart, Abdullah Al-Yahya, expressed solidarity with Qatar, stressing their rejection of any violation of the sovereignty of Arab states or infringement on their security and stability.
They also affirmed the urgent need to end the Israeli war on Gaza and stop the ongoing violations against the Palestinian people, including Israel's practices of blockade, starvation, settlement expansion, and attempts at displacement.
Iraqi FM
Additionally, the Egyptian FM met separately with his Iraqi counterpart, Fuad Hussein. The two sides affirmed that the only way to end the cycle of conflict and achieve regional peace is through reaching a comprehensive and just settlement of the Palestinian cause.
This settlement, which should be based on the two-state solution and relevant international legitimacy resolutions, must ensure the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the 4 June 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
On Tuesday, Israeli warplanes struck a building in Doha in an assassination attempt on the Hamas Gaza ceasefire negotiating team. The airstrike killed six people, including one Qatari national.
The strike is the first of its kind by Israel on Qatari soil. It has sparked widespread condemnation from regional powers and stern words from Western capitals.
Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli strike as a grave violation of international law and reaffirmed its categorical opposition to any breach of Qatar's sovereignty.
