Fanjari received Syrian Minister of Justice Mazhar Abdel-Rahman Al-Weis and his accompanying delegation at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Capital.
During the meeting, both ministers discussed ways to enhance judicial cooperation between Egypt and Syria.
Al-Weis expressed his country’s interest in benefiting from Egypt’s experience in training judges through specialised programs organised by the Ministry of Justice and the National Centre for Judicial Studies.
Fanjari welcomed the proposal and affirmed the ministry’s readiness to study mechanisms for its implementation.
Following the meeting, the Syrian minister visited the National Centre for Judicial Studies, where he reviewed its training programmes and praised Egypt’s advanced experience in the judicial and legal fields.
The justice minister also received on Thursday the Somali Minister of State for Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Elias Sheikh Omar Abubakar, and his delegation.
During the talks, both sides reviewed ways to enhance judicial cooperation and continue Egypt’s support in training Somali judicial cadres.
The discussions also covered benefiting from Egypt’s digital justice projects to support Somalia’s efforts in restructuring and digitising its Ministry of Justice.
The Somali minister expressed appreciation for Egypt’s ongoing support and praised its successful experience in developing the litigation system.
