Orascom Pyramids expands its development vision at the Giza Plateau with major partnerships advancing visitor experience, sustainability, and animal Welfare
It is pursuing a series of major partnerships designed to enhance services, upgrade infrastructure, and strengthen sustainability practices.
The company recently renewed its strategic partnership with the National Bank of Egypt (NBE) for an additional five years, underscoring the bank’s continued role as a founding and exclusive banking partner within the archaeological area.
At the same time, Orascom Pyramids has signed a new cooperation agreement with The Brooke Hospital for Animals in Egypt—one of the world’s leading organizations dedicated to improving the welfare of working animals—marking a milestone in efforts to ensure humane treatment of animals operating within the plateau.
Together, the two partnerships signal a comprehensive approach to development that blends heritage preservation with modern services and ethical responsibility.
Under its renewed agreement with OPE, the National Bank of Egypt will retain exclusive rights for branding and digital banking services within the site, along with participation in joint marketing activities.
The bank’s continued involvement reflects a shared ambition to provide modern, seamless visitor services while supporting sustainable economic growth.

Amr Gazzarin, Chairman of Orascom Pyramids, said the renewed partnership aims to redefine what visitors can expect from the Giza Plateau, with a focus on sustainability, innovation, and heritage stewardship.
In parallel, Orascom Pyramids announced a landmark partnership with The Brooke Hospital for Animals in Egypt, reinforcing efforts to enhance animal welfare inside the archaeological zone.
Signed as part of OPE’s broader cooperation framework with the Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA), the agreement aims to improve the health and living conditions of working animals and promote humane practices across the site, an essential step toward creating a globally respected and ethically responsible visitor environment.
Under the new protocol, Brooke will implement a set of initiatives, including routine veterinary care, preventive treatments, vaccination programs, awareness campaigns, and training for animal handlers. Dedicated water stations will also be installed across the site in collaboration with veterinary authorities.
“Animal welfare is a deeply rooted humanitarian value in Egyptian civilization,” said Hamed Al-Aqnas, Head of the General Organization for Veterinary Services. “This collaboration allows us to change negative perceptions surrounding animal treatment and reinforces modern, humane standards at a site that represents Egypt to the world.”

Our cooperation with Orascom Pyramids and the SCA aims to improve the welfare of these animals while enriching the visitor experience. The Giza Pyramids should stand as a global model for humane, sustainable tourism,” said Brooke’s Chairman, Sherif Foda.
Gazzarin affirmed that responsible animal care is integral to the site’s transformation, noting that improving the health and treatment of working animals is inseparable from improving the overall visitor experience.

These dual partnerships come as the Giza Plateau undergoes one of the most ambitious redevelopments in its modern history.
The integrated approach—spanning banking modernization, advanced visitor services, infrastructure upgrades, environmental responsibility, and animal welfare—reflects a holistic vision for the site’s future.
