In recent years, the two countries have elevated their diplomatic engagement through high-level exchanges and meetings to deepen cooperation across several sectors.

Abdelatty and Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar have maintained frequent contact in recent months, according to the foreign ministry statement.

On 19 September, Dar received a phone call from Abdelatty to discuss bilateral ties and regional developments, reaffirming their commitment to continued coordination at the bilateral and multilateral levels.

The two ministers also met in Doha on 14 September, ahead of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit, where they underscored the need for solidarity in addressing regional challenges.

Earlier in September, Abdelatty held talks with Dar in New York on the sidelines of the 80th session of the United Nations (UN) General Assembly, where they reviewed regional crises, including the situation in Gaza, and explored ways to enhance Cairo–Islamabad cooperation.
