In an appearance on Al Kass TV, the former Italian referee explained that any player who receives medical treatment on the field will be required to leave the pitch for two minutes, temporarily reducing their team to ten players.
The new regulation aims to reduce time-wasting, a practice long criticized for disrupting the flow and rhythm of matches.
However, if the player responsible for the foul is booked or sent off, the injured player will not have to leave the field.
Goalkeepers will be exempt from this rule.
The FIFA Arab Cup is an international football tournament organized by FIFA every four years, featuring 16 senior men’s national teams from the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA).
Egypt will compete with a "B" team under the guidance of veteran coach Helmi Toulan.
The Pharaohs, who finished fourth in the previous edition, have been drawn into Group C, where they will face the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, and Jordan.
Egypt will begin their campaign on 2 December with a game against Kuwait, followed by a game against the UAE on 6 December.
They will conclude the group stage on December 9 with a fixture against Jordan.
Defending champions Algeria claimed the title in the inaugural FIFA Arab Cup in 2021.
