Israeli warplanes struck Rafah in southern Gaza while armoured vehicles stationed north of the city opened sustained gunfire.
In central Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas east of al-Bureij refugee camp, while military vehicles fired toward the Telecommunications Building near Abu Hamid Roundabout in Khan Younis, local sources said.
At least two Palestinians were killed and six others wounded over the past 24 hours, medical sources told WAFA. Since the ceasefire, brokered by Cairo, Doha, Anakara, and Washington, took effect on 11 October, Israeli airstrikes and shootings have killed at least 393 Palestinians and injured 1,068 others, according to Palestinian figures.
Civil defence crews in Gaza City on Monday recovered the bodies of 14 people from beneath the rubble of the Salem family home, which had been destroyed in earlier Israeli attacks.
Since the ceasefire began, at least 632 bodies have been retrieved from under debris across the strip, while many others remain trapped, leaving the official death toll of at least 70,665 incomplete.
Rescue teams said recovery operations are being carried out under severe conditions, citing shortages of equipment and fuel as they continue efforts to retrieve bodies and provide dignified burials.
The latest attacks follow a deadly Israeli strike on Saturday in western Gaza City, where an air attack hit a civilian vehicle, killing five people and injuring more than 25 others.
Hamas resistance group described the strike as a “criminal violation” of the ceasefire and accused Israel of deliberately undermining the truce.
The Palestinian group renewed calls on mediators and guarantor states to intervene urgently to halt Israeli attacks and lift the ongoing blockade on Gaza.
