The state-run National News Agency said the strike on a vehicle was carried out by an Israeli drone along a road around 10 kilometres (six miles) from the coastal city of Sidon and “killed three people who were inside”.
An Israeli military statement said the army struck several Hezbollah operatives in the area of Sidon.
Israel has kept up regular strikes on Lebanon, despite a November 2024 ceasefire that sought to end more than a year of hostilities with Hezbollah group that erupted over the Gaza war.
It has also continued to occupy five areas in south Lebanon, in violation of the US-brokered truce deal.
More than 340 people have been killed by Israeli fire in Lebanon since the ceasefire, according to an AFP tally of Lebanese health ministry reports.
Under heavy US pressure , Lebanon has committed to disarming Hezbollah south of the Litani River, about 30 kilometres (19 miles) from the border with Israel, by the end of the year.
However, Hezbollah has repeatedly rejected calls to disarm, saying Israel seeks, over the long term, to gradually occupy Lebanon.
