It was the club’s second Egypt Cup triumph after winning the competition in 2024.
Karim Hafez opened the scoring from the penalty spot in first-half stoppage time before Congolese striker Fiston Mayele doubled the lead three minutes before the hour mark.
Substitute Raafat Khalil pulled one back for ZED deep into stoppage time, shortly after Pyramids winger Mostafa Zico had been sent off in the closing stages.
The Emirati-owned club dominated from the outset and prevented ZED from creating any real threat.
Pyramids were awarded a penalty in the 43rd minute after midfielder Mohanad Lasheen was fouled inside the area by ZED FC midfielder Abdel-Rahman El-Banoubi.
Following a VAR review, Hafez converted the spot kick just before halftime to hand his side the advantage.
Pyramids continued to press for a second goal after the break, although Mahmoud “Zalaka” Abdel Hafiz missed two clear chances.
Mayele eventually doubled the lead in the 57th minute, volleying home a cross from Hafez.
ZED FC struggled to threaten until Zico was shown a straight red card in the 81st minute, allowing their opponents to push forward in the closing minutes.
Khalil headed home in stoppage time, but ZED were unable to find an equalizer before the final whistle.
Pyramids could still complete a domestic double if they win their final Egyptian Premier League match against Smouha and Zamalek fail to beat Ceramica Cleopatra on 20 May.
The club have already enjoyed a successful season, winning the African Super Cup, the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup and the Egypt Cup.
