The new machines allow visitors to purchase entry tickets quickly and efficiently using bank cards, alongside the museum’s existing ticket counters and online booking platform.
The move is expected to make entry smoother, reduce waiting times, and improve visitor flow inside the museum.
NMEC Authority CEO ElTayeb Abbas stated that the initiative represents a significant step in developing the museum’s ticketing system through the adoption of modern technology that facilitates access for both Egyptian and international visitors.
Deputy CEO for Administration and Operations Fayrouz Fikry noted that the self-service machines support Egypt’s national direction toward expanding electronic payment systems and reducing reliance on cash transactions.
She added that the new system will also help improve operational efficiency and enable more effective monitoring of visitor movement within the museum.
