Zamalek will be hosted by Ceramica Cleopatra on 20 May at Cairo’s International Stadium in the final round of the Egyptian Premier League Championship Group.

“Upon the request of Zamalek club, the EFA board agreed to appoint a foreign refereeing crew to officiate the Ceramica Cleopatra game,” the EFA said in a statement on Facebook.

“The association’s refereeing committee will directly start calls to hire the refereeing crew according to regulations,” the statement said.

Cairo giants Zamalek kept their league title bid firmly on track with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Smouha last week, leaving them needing just a single point from their final match to clinch their first league title since 2022.

With the victory over Smouha, Zamalek maintain top spot on 53 points, two clear of Pyramids FC and three ahead of title holders Ahly.
