Egypt sent on Tuesday its 194th humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, compromising several trucks loaded with 3,430 tonnes of comprehensive assistance to the Palestinian people, under the “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza” initiative.

According to the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC), the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza, the convoy carried food parcels, flour, medical supplies, and fuel trucks to keep hospitals and vital facilities operating in the Strip.

Additionally, the ERC convoy carried relief materials, clothes, mattresses, and tents to shelter those displaced due to the ongoing Israeli aggression across Gaza.

The Egyptian aid convoy comes as part of Cairo's steadfast commitment to supporting the Palestinian people amidst the deadly Israeli war.

Since October 2023, Egypt has delivered nearly one million tonnes of humanitarian assistance to Gaza, representing around 70 percent of all aid sent to the Strip, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 ERC volunteers’ workforce.

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its genocidal war on Gaza, violating the ceasefire deal brokered by Egypt, the US, Qatar, and Turkey in October, killing 72,740 Palestinians and wounding 172,192 others, most of them women and children.

Gaza is also experiencing a worsening medical and humanitarian crisis as continued Israeli restrictions limit the entry of aid.

Hospitals are facing severe shortages of medicines, fuel, and medical supplies, while civilians struggle with limited access to food, clean water, shelter, and essential humanitarian assistance across the Strip.
