According to a statement issued on Thursday, the Egyptian Agency of Partnership for Development dispatched a shipment of medical and food assistance to Madagascar following the cyclone, which caused widespread damage and significant losses in several Malagasy cities.

The aid shipment includes a variety of medical supplies and essential food items to support relief and humanitarian response efforts in the affected areas.

Assistance was received upon arrival by Madagascar’s foreign ministry and the National Office for Risk and Disaster Management, in the presence of the Egyptian embassy in Antananarivo. Malagasy officials expressed appreciation for Egypt’s support during the crisis.

The initiative reflects Egypt’s continued commitment to supporting African countries in times of hardship. It also demonstrates Egypt's contributions to addressing challenges caused by natural disasters and humanitarian crises across the continent.
