The airline said it will restart and operate flights to a number of West and East African destinations, including Ouagadougou in Burkina Faso, Niamey in Niger, Nairobi in Kenya, and Zanzibar in Tanzania.

The move is part of efforts to increase the company's presence on the African continent and strengthen air connectivity between Egypt and other African markets.

On the European side, Air Cairo plans to introduce new routes to Oslo in Norway, Stockholm in Sweden, and Aalborg in Denmark.

The expansion also comes alongside continued operations to multiple established European destinations, including 12 cities in Germany and five in Italy, in addition to services to several Asian markets.

The company also said it is studying potential future routes to Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan.

The airline linked the expansion to its broader growth strategy, which includes fleet development plans aiming to increase the number of aircraft to around 134 by 2034.

In a statement attributed to the company’s chairman, Air Cairo said the expansion reflects a focus on entering new markets, particularly in Africa and Europe, while aligning with broader national efforts to support tourism and expand air connectivity.

The company added that its plans also include fleet modernization and service expansion aimed at meeting growing demand and supporting passenger traffic, especially inbound tourism to Egypt.
