During a phone call, Abdelatty reviewed Egypt's intensive contacts and efforts, in coordination with regional and international partners, to support the US-Iran negotiation track to contain tensions, reduce escalation, and achieve calm.
On Gaza, the Egyptian FM underscored the importance of completing all commitments under the first phase of US President Donald Trump's plan and moving forward with the implementation of the second phase.
He also highlighted the need for the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza to begin carrying out its duties from inside the strip, while affirming the need for the swift deployment of the International Stabilization Force.
During the call, both ministers also discussed ways to strengthen strategic relations between the two countries, praising the depth of ties, particularly following their elevation to a strategic partnership in April 2025.
They looked forward to further enhancing cooperation across various fields, especially in the economic and trade sectors.
Abdelatty and Barrot also commended the close relations between the two countries' leaderships, highlighting the recent visit by French President Emmanuel Macron to Egypt in May, which reflects the depth of the Egyptian-French partnership.
They agreed to continue close coordination and consultations in support of security and stability across the region.
