According to a Hamas statement, the delegation includes Zaher Jabarin, head of the movement in the West Bank, as well as Political Bureau members Hossam Badran and Ghazi Hamad.

The delegation is scheduled to hold talks with Egyptian officials and mediators beginning on Saturday as part of a negotiation round expected to continue for several days.

The discussions will focus on completing the implementation of the first phase of the ceasefire agreement, halting what Hamas described as repeated Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, and exploring mechanisms for moving forward with the second phase of the deal.

Hamas said the delegation will also meet with representatives of Palestinian factions to coordinate a unified national position on key issues and discuss ways to address the challenges facing the Palestinian people.

Egypt, alongside Qatar and the United States, has played a central mediating role in efforts to secure and sustain the Gaza ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel.
