In a statement, Egypt's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attack constituted a serious breach of international law and international humanitarian law, warning that continued Israeli military actions in Lebanon risk further destabilising the region.

Cairo stressed the importance of the international community assuming its responsibility to halt repeated Israeli attacks on Lebanese territory and ensure respect for Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, and unity.

Egypt also warned that ongoing escalation could fuel further tensions, chaos, and instability across the region.

The foreign ministry underscored the need to support regional and international diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and preventing the conflict from expanding, saying such efforts are essential to enhancing regional security and stability.

Reaffirming its support for Lebanon, Egypt rejected any infringement on Lebanese territory and reiterated its backing for the Lebanese state, its national institutions, and its territorial integrity.

The statement also called for Israel's immediate and complete withdrawal from all Lebanese territory and urged the full and non-selective implementation of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1701, saying this would help preserve Lebanon's sovereignty and strengthen stability along the border.
