Speaking after a tour of several development and service projects in Alexandria, Madbouly said Egypt enjoys stability and security, which provide a suitable environment for investors and attract foreign investments.
The Egyptian PM affirmed that the state continues to revive industry, adding that Egypt will be able to produce everything needed for its urban transport system.
He stressed that the plans for the next three years aim to bring a large number of factories into operation to produce various goods and products that Egypt had previously imported.
These factories, Madbouly noted, will produce enough to meet a significant portion of local demand. He also highlighted that exportation remains a major priority.
Similarly, the Egyptian PM noted that the road and railway network implemented over recent years provides a key infrastructure base for industrial and investment expansion.
He added that a factory producing operating systems will begin production next year and will help reduce the country's import bill for such systems.
During the tour, Madbouly was accompanied by Minister of Transport Kamel El-Wazir, Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities Randa El-Menshawy, Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem, and Governor of Alexandria Ayman Attia.
The Egyptian PM's tour also included the inauguration of the expansion works on the eastern Alexandria Corniche. He also inaugurated the "General Suleiman Ezzat" bridge linking Street 45 with the International Coastal Road.
Madbouly also inspected construction works on the Mohamed Naguib axis, the redevelopment of the Bir Massoud area in Miami, and the progress of the first phase of the Alexandria Metro project.
During the tour, Madbouly emphasized the great importance of the Alexandria Metro project as a significant addition to the governorate's mass transit system. He pointed out the Metro's pivotal role in improving services for citizens and supporting the state's efforts to shift toward modern, environmentally friendly public transportation.
Furthermore, the Egyptian PM stated that the first phase of the Metro extends 22 kilometres. He noted that the project is nearing completion, with its inauguration scheduled for March 2027.
Madbouly also inspected several projects currently being implemented as part of the East Alexandria development plan, including the new Ring Road and the New Abu Qir Port.
