Through a compelling visual journey, Her Realm explores the relationship between human growth and the environments we shape and inhabit. Moving between urban landscapes and natural settings, her presence reflects the enduring connection between humanity and the world around it. Dafrawy’s expressive brushwork and rich textures dissolve the boundaries between figure and place, revealing a dynamic dialogue between human existence and nature (6 - 21 June).

After captivating millions across North America, Europe and Asia, “Beyond Van Gogh: The Immersive Experience” exhibition makes its Egyptian debut at District 5 by Marakez in New Cairo. The internationally acclaimed exhibition transforms more than 300 masterpieces by Vincent van Gogh into a fully immersive digital spectacle, projected in a stunning 360-degree immersive way onto walls, floors, and ceilings. You’ll see famous paintings like “The Starry Night,” “Sunflowers,” and “Terrace Café at Night” come to life with light and sound, accompanied by the artist’s own words and music. The experience is directed by the Canadian-French artist Mathieu Saint-Arnaud and his team at Studio Normal in Montreal (Tickets for the exhibition are now available. New opening times have also been added to accommodate more visitors.

“We Love Life if We Can Find a Way to It” a photography exhibition of photographer artist Randa Shaath. Shaath is a Palestinian-Egyptian photographer and visual artist. The daughter of a Palestinian father and an Egyptian mother, she lives and works primarily in Cairo. Her black and white works explore daily life, urban spaces, and issues of memory, identity, and exile in Egypt and Palestine (21 May- 18 June).
“A thousand stories of lives transformed” exhibition marks the 20th anniversary of the French Development Agency (AFD) Group in Egypt showcasing the tangible results of this collaboration. The AFD Group entrusted the task of documenting this history to two women, Noria Tesson and Samar Bayoumi, whose professions are based on observation, listening, and bearing witness. This collaboration has resulted in a series of articles and photographs, providing concrete evidence of the profound transformation that these decades of Franco-Egyptian cooperation have brought to the lives of many (24 June- 28 July).

“Expedition Art” exhibition brings together works by six Swedish artists, showcasing diverse artistic reflections on the polar regions,
produced by the Swedish Institute in collaboration with the Swedish Polar Research Secretariat, and embassy of Sweden in Egypt. It is featuring artists who have taken part in scientific and Arctic expeditions. The exhibition explores the intersection of artistic practice and polar research, inviting audiences to experience the Arctic through the eyes of artists who have joined scientific expeditions into one of the world’s most extreme environments. Featured artists include Karin Alfredsson, Bigert & Bergström, Josef Bull, Efva Lilja, Hanna Ljungh, and Ida Rödén. The exhibition is presented within the framework of SABBART, a cultural initiative by the EUNIC Cluster Egypt, the exhibition highlights creative approaches to climate and environmental themes. An introductory video programme accompanies the exhibition, featuring an interview with Karin Alfredsson at Kulturnyheterna, Sensing the Arctic by Bigert & Bergström (filmed by Lars Siltberg), and Artist of MELT by Ida Rödén (7- 21 June).

“Dyarna (Our Homes)” exhibition for handicrafts and heritage is part of joint efforts to support traditional crafts and empower small business owners, artisans, and creative individuals across various governorates. The exhibition is one of the most prominent events supporting handicrafts and heritage in Egypt. It opens new avenues for marketing and promoting local products and strengthens opportunities for artisans to reach broader audiences both within Egypt and abroad (15-19 June, 10am to 6pm).
