Egypt, DRC presidents to discuss trade, investment ties in Cairo talks
Egyptian President Abdel-Fattah El-Sisi will receive on Wednesday Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) President Félix Tshisekedi for talks expected to focus on expanding economic cooperation, investment flows, and bilateral development projects, the presidency stated.
The meeting comes within the framework of Tshisekedi’s official visit to Egypt, during which the two leaders will hold bilateral discussions on strengthening relations across various fields, with a particular emphasis on boosting economic and development cooperation.
The talks are also expected to address regional and international issues of mutual interest, according to the statement.
Egypt and the DRC have been seeking to deepen economic ties in recent years, including cooperation in infrastructure, energy, and development projects, alongside broader African integration initiatives.
