The drill is being conducted over several days at combat training ranges under the command of Egypt’s Special Forces, the spokesperson said.
The first phase of the exercise included a series of theoretical lectures on various operational topics to unify tactical concepts and achieve coordination and integration between participating elements. An exhibition of weapons and equipment used by both sides was also held as part of the training activities.
The exercise is scheduled to include several practical drills to implement planned objectives, enhance the exchange of tactical expertise between the two sides, and maximize operational benefit for the participating forces.
The Egyptian Armed Forces said the “Citadel of the Mountain-2” exercise reflects the depth of distinguished military relations between Egypt and Oman.
It added that the exercise supports ongoing efforts to strengthen cooperation, coordination, and the exchange of expertise between the armed forces of both countries.
