In a statement, the Palestinian resistance group spokesman Hazem Qassem said Israeli occupation forces had expanded the line westward in Gaza City since early Friday, while continuing bombardment and displacement operations across the Palestinian territory.
"The criminal Zionist army's expanding of the 'Yellow Line' westward since early morning in Gaza City, accompanied by the bombardment and displacement of our people across Gaza, constitutes a flagrant violation of the ceasefire agreement," Qassem said.
He accused Israel of implementing plans to increase its territorial control over Gaza and criticized what he described as the inaction of international bodies and mediators tasked with overseeing the ceasefire.
Qassem said the developments coincided with negotiations currently taking place in Cairo and came despite what he described as a positive approach by Palestinian factions during the talks.
He argued that the latest actions reflected Israel's unwillingness to implement the ceasefire agreement and were intended to derail negotiations and prolong the conflict.
Under a plan proposed by US President Donald Trump, Israeli occupation forces initially withdrew to a Yellow Line, leaving Israel in control of about 53 percent of Gaza's territory, under the understanding that Tel Aviv would gradually withdraw its troops from the strip. However, the Israeli army refused to withdraw forces and honour other terms of the ceasefire deal.
In May, Israel said it controlled around 60 percent of the Gaza Strip, while Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he had instructed the military to take control of up to 70 percent of the enclave.
