Egypt launched its 212th humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip on Sunday, comprising several trucks loaded with more than 2,666 tons of aid to support the Palestinian people, the Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) said in a statement.

The ERC, the national coordination body for aid delivery to Gaza, stated that the convoy carried essential supplies for Gaza’s population, including food parcels, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel to keep hospitals and vital facilities operational in the strip.

The convoy, launched under the “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza” initiative, also carried clothes and tents to shelter those displaced by the war.

The dispatch comes as part of Egypt’s continued efforts to support the Palestinian people amid the ongoing Israeli aggression.

On Wednesday, Egypt marked a major humanitarian milestone in its support for Gaza, with total aid deliveries surpassing one million tons since the outbreak of Israel's genocidal war on the strip in October 2023, supported by the efforts of over 65,000 ERC volunteers.

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its airstrikes across Gaza, violating the ceasefire deal signed in October 2025, killing over 72,996 Palestinians and wounding 173,246 others, most of them women and children.

The Israeli war has also destroyed tens of hospitals and health facilities in Gaza and killed hundreds of doctors and healthcare workers, leaving thousands without medical services.

International aid agencies have repeatedly warned that children have borne a disproportionate share of the consequences of the Israeli attacks through death, injury, displacement, malnutrition, and interruptions to education and healthcare.
