Abdelatty is due to travel to Luxembourg on Monday to co-chair the 11th meeting of the Egypt-EU Association Council alongside EU representatives.
The meeting will review progress in Egypt-EU relations and discuss ways to advance cooperation across political, economic, and development sectors, according to a foreign ministry statement.
On the sidelines of the council meeting, Abdelatty will hold bilateral talks with several European foreign ministers and senior officials to discuss strengthening ties and exchange views on regional and international developments, particularly amid continued tensions in the Middle East.
The Egypt-EU Association Council is a key mechanism governing relations between Cairo and Brussels under the Egypt-EU Association Agreement, which entered into force in 2004.
In March 2024, Egypt and the EU elevated their ties to a strategic and comprehensive partnership, expanding cooperation in areas including trade, investment, migration, energy, and security.
