The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) launched on Monday its 213th aid convoy to the Gaza Strip, carrying 2,623 tons of humanitarian assistance to help alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people amid ongoing Israeli strikes.

According to the ERC, the national body coordinating aid delivery to Gaza, the convoy was sent under the “Zad Al-Ezza: From Egypt to Gaza” initiative and included multiple trucks carrying humanitarian supplies to the strip.

It carried food parcels, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and fuel to keep hospitals and vital facilities operating in the strip, in addition to clothes and tents to shelter those displaced by the Israeli war.

Since October 2023, Egypt has continued to support Palestinians, delivering more than one million tons of humanitarian aid to Gaza, representing around 70 percent of all aid sent to the territory since the beginning of the war.

Egypt, along with Qatar, Turkey, and the United States, has also been involved in intensive efforts to mediate and sustain the Gaza ceasefire agreement signed during the Sharm El-Sheikh Summit for Peace in October 2025.

Meanwhile, Israel has continued its genocidal war in Gaza, violating the ceasefire deal, killing more than 72,000 Palestinians, and injuring over 173,000 others, most of them women and children.

The Israeli war has also destroyed hospitals, health facilities, and other vital infrastructure in Gaza, destroying around 70 percent of homes and displacing more than two million people.
