The two-day conference brought together more than 120 Arab business delegates and 90 Greek counterparts, alongside senior government officials, Arab ambassadors, healthcare specialists, and representatives of leading pharmaceutical and medical technology companies.
The event featured the participation of Greek Health Minister Adonis Georgiadis, Syrian Health Minister Dr Musaab Nazzal Al-Ali, Yemeni Health Minister Dr Qasem Mohammed Buhaibeh, and Libyan Deputy Health Minister Dr Saadeldine Al-Mismari, underscoring its growing importance as a platform for regional dialogue, innovation, and cross-border collaboration.
Across a programme of panel discussions, business meetings, and networking sessions, participants examined opportunities for expanding cooperation in pharmaceuticals, healthcare services, hospital modernization, digital transformation, and the application of artificial intelligence in medical diagnosis and treatment.
The conference hosted 52 speakers representing leading institutions and companies from Greece, the Arab world, and Europe. Interactive discussions and strong audience engagement reflected a shared commitment to developing practical partnerships and advancing healthcare collaboration across the region.
The participation of European experts added further depth to the discussions. It reinforced the conference’s role as a leading platform for promoting dialogue, knowledge exchange, and business opportunities between Greece and the Arab world.
During the event, the Arab-Hellenic Chamber honoured Egyptian Ambassador to Greece Omar Amer and Saudi Ambassador to Greece Ali Bin Yousef on the occasion of the completion of their diplomatic missions.
The conference also paid tribute to several distinguished Arab physicians whose decades of service have made a lasting contribution to Greece’s healthcare sector. Those honoured included Dr Mazen Khoury, Dr Jubraeel Dahabre, Dr Isam Bagosli, Dr Nimer Shaheen, Dr Alex Yagmoor, and Dr Abbas Qadreh.
According to Rashad Mabgar, secretary-general of the Arab-Hellenic Chamber, the conference builds on the success of its inaugural edition held in May 2024, an initiative originally inspired by Julia Tsetis, chairman and CEO of OFET Group of Pharmaceutical Companies.
The Chamber expressed its appreciation to delegations, speakers, and participants representing 16 Arab countries, as well as to its Greek partners and supporters whose contributions helped ensure the success of the event.
It also acknowledged the official patronage of the Greek Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, and Tourism, as well as the support provided by the Kleon Tsetis Foundation, the Union of Arab Chambers, member companies, and institutional partners.
Concluding the conference, the Arab-Hellenic Chamber reaffirmed its commitment to following up on the event’s outcomes and facilitating new partnerships between Greek and Arab stakeholders to transform dialogue into concrete business, investment, and healthcare cooperation projects.
